» Still have a question that wasn’t answered?
How does this work? What are the steps?
Step 1- Determine Your Requirements
After submitting the sign-up form you will receive an e-mail from 619Cloud within one business day. The e-mail will have a variety of questions to help us customize and personalize your 619Cloud solution to your exact needs and specifications. The questions will include your intended solutions purpose, what technologies/software you require, your estimated traffic and load, and which domains you wish to host.
Step 2 – Proposal
After we receive back your requirements e-mail, within one business day, will will draft a solution proposal and send it to you for approval. Almost always the proposal amount will reflect the solutions setup-fee and monthly fee listed; but there are occasions where custom services or software are required beyond the scope of the included set-up or monthly fee. Any such additional fees or charges will be described in detail and listed on the proposal.
Step 3 – Build Your Hosting Solution
Once you approve our solution proposal and provide credit card billing details we will charge your credit card and begin building your solution. Typically we can build solutions within one business day, but depending on volume, and any custom services or software it may take longer.
Step 4 – Deployment
After your solution has been setup, configured, optimized, and fully tested under load, we will e-mail you a detailed document providing such information as your IP address(s) and FTP login details.
Step 5 – Billing
You will then be charged each month for the monthly service fee listed on your proposal.
What are the differences between each solution?
Take a look at our comparison table to evaluate each solution side-by-side.
What are the benefits of hosting in the cloud over traditional shared hosting?
Complete control and flexibility along with the option of dynamic scaling. Cloud hosting fills the huge performance gap between entry-level shared hosting, and expensive dedicated hosting. With cloud hosting you are given a dedicated part of a server, and a fresh install of Linux with full root access. That means we are able to install any services, packages, or scripts we desire. Also, we are able to scale dynamically. What that means is, if you happen to get a huge spike in traffic such as a Digg, with a quick restart, we can adjust and upgrade your solution, and have you back up and running at full speed in minutes.
How do I get in contact with support?
You can either e-mail support at support@619cloud.com or create support tickets via the client portal. We respond personally and promptly to all inquiries received.
Can I upgrade solutions down the road?
Absolutely, in fact that is the power of cloud hosting. We simply upgrade your solution, give it a quick restart and your back up and running. Simple as pie. Upgrading from standard will incur a $150 one-time setup fee to deploy the second server. Additionally, once a solution above standard (with two severs) is setup, you may not downgrade back to the standard (one server) solution.
Tell me a bit about billing.
All one-time fees are billed at the time you approve our solution proposal. Monthly billing is also based and billed automatically on the day you approved our solution proposal. If your monthly billing date lands on a day not contained in a given month, you will be billed on the last day of that month. For example, if your paid subscription began on March 31st, your next billing date would be April 30th. Service may be interrupted on accounts that reach 5 days past due. Late payment, exceeding 5 days will result in a late fee of 10% of the entire invoice.
How long does it take?
From start (determine your requirements) to finish (deployment), usually the entire process takes three to four business days.
Do you offer backups and data redundancy solutions?
Absolutely. First, all storage is RAID-10, meaning you get redundant protection from disk failure. Additionally, full image backups of the entire solution are offered as an add on service. See our additional services page for information and pricing.
How many domains can I host?
There is no limit, since you are in control of everything on your solution.
Do you host DNS?
Yeap sure do. You can create an unlimited number of domains and A, CNAME, MX, SRV, TXT, AAAA, and PTR records. Additionally, if you just want DNS hosting, but are not ready to jump into cloud hosting, we provide a standalone DNS hosting solution.
Where will my servers be located?
You can choose between two physical server locations, Dallas Texas or Chicago Illinois.
What server side languages do you support?
We support the standard big four, PHP, Ruby on Rails, Perl, And Python, but can accommodate others on a per client basis. Because we have full Linux root access, we can install and configure most anything you desire.
Do you support the content management system WordPress?
Of course. We love and use WordPress, it’s a great product. In fact, we even have a special WordPress optimized solution which includes WordPress and phpMyAdmin pre-installed with a discounted setup fee.
Do you offer private IP addresses?
All solutions come with private IP addresses for unmetered and unbilled communication between servers.
Are there any bandwidth caps?
All solutions have bandwidth restrictions tied to their plan. Standard and SoHo have a 10Mbps public connection / 20Mbs private local connection cap. Professional has a 20Mbs public connection / 40Mbs private local connection cap. Finally, enterprise has a 30Mbs public connection / 60Mbs private local connection cap.
What if I go over my allocated bandwidth limit?
You’ll receive an email notification when a solution reaches 80% of its bandwidth limit to give you a heads up. If you do happen to go over your limit, the overage charge is .32 (thirty-two cents) per GB over. Remember that private traffic between servers is unmetered and unbilled so you should always try to communicate between servers with the private interface when possible.
Can I buy additional disk storage or bandwidth without upgrading solutions?
We have no plans to offer add-on storage or bandwidth at this time. If you go over your monthly allocated bandwidth limit, the overage charge is .32 (thirty-two cents) per GB over.
Can I buy additional public static IP addresses?
Sure, they are $3 per IP per month. Simply open a support ticket or e-mail us.
Can you do web development, web application, SEO work for us as well?
Unfortunately not. We are strictly a cloud hosting company. We can however get you in touch with some excellent web developers, coders, SEO gurus, and graphic artists.
Which Linux distribution do you use?
Our primary Linux distribution is CentOS, which is a community-supported operating system based off Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
